Slide 1: ==== ==== For free video and more information about acupuncture, please visit our website http://blogs4u.biz/acupuncture/ ==== ==== Acupuncture has now been proven as a viable therapy to assist in infertility treatments all over the world. Many health conditions as well as various addictions has successfully been treated with acupuncture and the success rate statistics with acupuncture for infertility are extremely encouraging especially for infertile couples. If acupuncture are practiced correctly then there are no side effects and almost all people can receive acupuncture treatments with no ill effect. Women that are unable to conceive can now have new hope to become pregnant, with either acupuncture for infertility as a first option or as a supportive treatment with their other infertility treatments, but what is even more promising is that even for women where other treatments have failed, some of these women now can overcome their infertility when they turn to acupuncture. What Is Acupuncture! Acupuncture is the oldest continuous recorded health system and it stems from China. It works on the essential principle of balancing and maintaining the bio-energetic flow in a person to assist and promote optimum health. It has been observed by the ancient Chinese masters of acupuncture that an imbalance of energy either precede or follow any type of disease condition or disharmony in the body. Some people refer to it as an imbalance of the yin and yang or positive and negative energy balance. The same underlying principles are applied in acupuncture for infertility treatments. This bio-energy are called Qi and flow along meridian pathways that transverse every part of the body. On these meridian pathways there are very specific points called acupuncture points that allow an acupuncturist to influence the Qi flow to correct imbalances by either supplementing deficiencies of Qi or draining or redirecting excess Qi or moving along blocked Qi. A skilled acupuncturist manage to do this by manipulating extremely fine acupuncture needles, painlessly, in these acupuncture points. How does these acupuncture treatments affect infertility? Acupuncture as a treatment for infertility are considered as an alternative treatment, but a holistic treatment, compared to western IVF medical treatments. As with western medical treatments, because most infertility cases are due to hormonal imbalances and disruptions, acupuncture aims to restore the hormonal balance, but do so in assisting the body to reach its own balance again naturally if possible. The aim is to re-establish a normal menstrual cycle again, with the purpose of getting normal regular ovulation to happen again and by doing so to increase the chances of conception.
Slide 2: Acupuncture are just one modality of Chinese Medicine and therefor work best if it is combined with the other modalities of this wonderful health system. That is why in most cases Chinese herbal formulations, lifestyle advise, dietary recommendations and exercise will also be subscribed. Numerous research studies has now shown that the success rate of IVF improves dramatically if combined with acupuncture treatments and some IVF clinics now offer acupuncture as an in-clinic option. Acupuncture work exceptional well for functional irregularities of the reproductive system such as hormonal imbalance, irregular menstruation and irregular ovulation. Unfortunately most structural problems such as ovarian tube blockages, twisted tubes, fibroids etc. will not respond completely with acupuncture and does require surgical intervention. So what are the considerations when investigating acupuncture as a possible treatment for infertility. Most acupuncture treatments are administered in one of two ways. The most common type of acupuncture treatment consist of a highly trained and skilled acupuncturist administering the treatment by the painless insertion of sterile, disposable, ultra thin acupuncture needles into the carefully selected acupuncture points and then manipulating them to obtain the desired effect. Then there are also another type that have started in the late 1950's. This is electro-acupuncture, where the acupuncturist, instead of manually manipulating the needles to obtain the desired effect, attach tiny electrodes to the needles and stimulate them with small electrical currents. If electroacupuncture are applied incorrectly then it can be quite uncomfortable to most people. Most sensitive people, pregnant woman and those with pacemakers are advised against electroacupuncture and must advise the acupuncturist if they fall in this category at all.
