Dr. Keller is internationally recognized as an expert, pioneer, and innovator in the field of plastic surgery. He has practiced Facial Plastic Surgery in Southern California since 1976. Dr. Keller, who invented endoscopic facial plastic surgery (including the endoscopic face, forehead, and neck lift), is experienced in this technique. He has published two textbooks and numerous medical journal articles in the field of facial plastic surgery and is the director of the Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Keller is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Keller also is a Clinical Associate Clinical Professor od Surgery at the University of Los Angeles (UCLA) and is the Director of the Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the UCLA Medical School where he was awarded the "Clinical Teaching Award/Division of Head and Neck Surgery" in 1988. He is the Medical Director of the Keller Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic and Laser Center in Dr. Gregory Keller Santa Barbara.He is internationally recognized in the field of facial rejuvenation and has Facial Plastic Surgeon spoken nationally and internationally on his fields of expertise. He has received recognition awards for surgical excellence from many societies, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Keller has been a visiting professor at several major universities and has been the featured guest speaker at many other societies, including the American Academy of Opthalmic Plastic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Brazilian Plastic Surgery Society, and several state plastic surgery societies.Dr. Keller is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Medical Association, California Medical Association, Santa Barbara County Medical Society and the Florida Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.His awards and honors include the "Recognition for Excellence in Cosmetic Surgery." presented by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the "Award for Excellence in Education and Services" as co-director and director of Endoscopic Facial Plastic Surgery Courses, presented by American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), and the Outstanding Achievement Award" given by the Foundation for Facial Plastic Surgery. Acknowledged worldwide for his extensive research, Dr. Keller has played an instrumental role in introducing the most advanced techniques in facial plastic surgery. He holds three U.S. patents on his endoscopic neck, forehead and brow lift. Dr. Keller has given over 150 presentations in the United States and has been a guest speaker in Europe and Brazil. He has written over 55 medical articles. He is recognized as one of "America's Top Doctors" by Coastal County.As a means of research and instruction, Dr. Keller has documented his progress with endoscopic surgery in his recent medical textbook, Endoscopic Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Keller's second medical textbook, Laser in Facial Plastic Surgery, will be published in the fall of 1999. Facial plastic surgery holds a unique place in Dr. Keller's personal life. While pursuing a career in cardio-vascular surgery at the University of Illinois Medical School, Dr. Keller was in a very serious car accident. He sustained severe injuries and trauma to his nose, eyes, cheeks and jaw and had to undergo extensive facial reconstructive surgery. While recuperating, Dr. Keller decided to change his medical direction and pursue a career as a facial plastic surgeon. Because of Dr. Keller's first-hand experience, he is very sensitive to the needs and concerns of his patients having been one himself.
