Transformer - the storage device of electricity 

Nowadays there is shortage of electricity, so we need a device which stores electricity and distribute it according to our needs. To satisfy our requirements of electricity transformers were introduced. A transformer is a machine which stores and transfers its electrical energy from one circuit to another. Slide 1: Transformer- the storage device of electricity The world gets stumble if there is no proper distribution of electricity. It has become an essential to our life as food and water. Humans totally depend upon the electricity for their uses. Many sources are creating electricity, but the proper distribution and saving of electricity is essential. Nowadays there is shortage of electricity, so we need a device which stores electricity and distribute it according to our needs. To satisfy our requirements of electricity transformers were introduced. A transformer is a machine which stores and transfers its electrical energy from one circuit to another. There are many methods for generating electricity. How does a transformer work? The construction of a transformer includes the core which windings are wrapped around and it has primary and secondary coil. The input line is connected to the primary coil while the output line is connected to the secondary coil. The alternating current induces the flux which flows around the core and makes it to change its direction during each cycle; similarly current is induced in the secondary coil. The magnetic field which induces in the primary coil is induced in the secondary coil and thus current is produced. Transformer can be classified into different ways and types depend upon its capacity and purpose. Lets us see some important transformer types. Fly back transformer looks small in size and it is used in televisions, cathode ray tube and plasma lamps. It is also called as a line output transformer. The purpose is to convert low voltage into high voltage and it not only transmits energy, but also stores energy. Fly back transformer comes in different sizes and shapes such as E, EC, u and etc. Current transformers were introduced to measure electric current and it reduces the direct current and make suitable to measure current. It measures low current with accuracy. They are used to supply information to protective relays and energy metering instruments. Many companies provide you the custom current transformers for your particular needs.
Slide 2: Power transformers are the transformers classified based on its power handling capacity and frequency range. These transformers have no losses and it increase the transmission voltage and decrease the transmission current. Depending upon the requirements it comes in different size and weight. The three phase transformer is an example for power transformer; it is used in industry to change the value of phase voltage and current. The other power transformers are poly-phase and instrument power transformer. The purpose of transformer is to increase voltage and the high voltage transformers protects from high voltage break downs. It provides electrical isolation and power distribution and it is configured as either single phase or three phases. It has maximum power, voltage and current rating and constructed in two types as toroidal or laminated transformer. High voltage transformer comes under the category of electrical transformer. Electrical transformers are the transformers which transmits electrical energy. The use of electrical transformer is to transport electricity from power plants to home and business.
