DISHONEST COMPANY - BE AWARE !!
I also ordered a pendant light and was advised at time of ordering that they had a promotion going that provided free shipping to Australia.
They charged my credit card for the full amount. A few hours later they sent me an email saying that the pendant was too large to send to me (800mm diametre) and that they had cancelled my order and refunded my credit card.
I sent them an email asking why they were reneging on their agreement to ship free of charge. Their response was that it wasn't really because the pendant was too big to ship - it was because it wasn't available in 240v. Unbelievable - first one excuse and then a totally different excuse. It was advertised on their website as 240v and it was obvious that they didn't want to pay for the shipping costs to send this item to me.
I sent them another email advising that they advertised the pendant as being 240v and shipping was supposed to be included in the cost. As I wanted this pendant, I offered to pay for half of the shipping costs, in good faith.
They then sent me another email advising that they would split the shipping costs with me. Great - I was happy to do this and sent them an email authorising them to charge my credit card.
Unbelievably, I then received another email from them advising that they weren't going to honour their agreement.
Then, on top of all that - when they refunded the cost of the pendant to my credit card, I was hit with an exchange rate and ended up out-of-pocket for $56.
They have given me nothing but a load of grief. Their chain of emails to me was unbelievable and full of dishonesty.
I sincerely hope that you will all be cautious when ordering from this company, especially if you are from another country.
I'm not letting the matter drop - they need to be accountable.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
They do have a great selection of lighting and I was thrilled to find this online source. However, I can't say it has been a thrill working with them.
I purchased a beautiful pendant light from them and in about 4 weeks part of the light fixture arrived, the pendant and the canopy from which to hang it, however, the transformer, (the power mechanism used to light the fixture was missing.)
I contacted Interior Delux and their responce to me was 'the transformer had been shipped from another company and that I should have recieved it by now.'
When I responded that I had not recieved the transformer and requested a tracer be placed on the shipment I heard nothing. I sent a couple additional emails requesting the tracking number and the method of shipment and I still have not recieved any responce. Now I possess a $3500 light fixture with no means of lighting it and I can not seem to Interior Delux to rectify the situation -- either by sending me a transformer (an item which I have paid for) or by providing me with an return authorization number.
Unless you enjoy being ripped off -- DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS!
