Slide 1: ==== ==== This Is The Most Advanced, Highest-Level NLP Training Available On The Internet… www.mybestrecommend.com/DrTadJamesMasteringNLPCourse ==== ==== Public Speaking is one of the biggest fears in the World; in one survey this fear was found to be more common than the fear of dying. It is estimated that 75% of people suffer from this fear to varying degrees.Although many people experience this fear to some degree, most people do not realise that they can do something about it. How do you know that you have a problem? Well for those who have full blown panic it is pretty simple to spot they have an issue. For those who have the problem to a lesser degree how do they know whether what they are experiencing is normal or something that can be eliminated or improved? Well some of the typical symptoms that you have with this problem are: Needing to write copious notes regarding the presentationWanting to be in the backgroundFeeling an urge to leave the room when presenting or prior to presentingFear that you are going to run out of words or forget your wordsPalpitating heart etc, when waiting for your turn to speakOut of body experiences (not the spooky kind you see on the films, it is the one where instead of feeling grounded and centred, you are watching yourself as if you are an audience member and checking out how you are coming across from the audience's perspective) Instead of listening to what people are saying you are focussed on your internal feelings and symptoms, you feel very self conscious. You are consciously having to think about what you are doing, such as "what should I say next", rather than spontaneously responding to what is happening around you.Your voice may sound higher than normal, as your breathing tends to be higher in the chest if you are nervousYou may also feel a tightness in your chest restricting your breathingLegs may feel wobblyOther less obvious symptoms can be: Procrastination when preparing your talkIf you run a business, not doing anything that will put you personally in the spotlight (many people I have worked with and helped clear their fear of public speaking have reported back to me that miraculously they have taken the steps to putting their business on the road such as, "getting their leaflets printed", "putting out advertising" "confidently promoting their business by networking") What is the difference between having this problem and totally overcoming it? People who have cleared their nerves public speaking can be spontaneous when talking in front of an audience. They also have very little reliance on notes. Notes are only needed to check that they have covered what they need to speak about and not as a "crutch". Because they are not in a "fight or flight" state when speaking they have full access to their memory and can think clearly. They have no pre-performance nerves. (This is possible. You do not have to have any level of nerves to give a good performance. You can energise your talk in a positive way and do not need
Slide 2: any nervous energy). They do not have the urge to leave the stage or feel trapped and are not selfconscious. They certainly are not experiencing the event as if they are watching themselves through the eyes of their audience. They find it easier to prepare their talk. Some people are even pleasantly surprised that when they clear their nerves and fear they actually enjoy the buzz of presenting. So how can you become a dynamic public speaker? Well the two thinks you need to look at are: Developing extreme inner confidenceMastering the skills of top presentersWell you are probably now thinking, easier said than done. Well perhaps it is easier than you think IF you use the right techniques. Firstly the techniques that I would recommend for developing the ability to be a dynamic public speaker are EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) and TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique). These are three of the most powerful techniques we have available in the world today for creating profound inner change and eliminating nerves. Of course, there is an art and skill to using these techniques. Secondly to develop the skills, again I would recommend, NLP. NLP is about communication, whether it is verbal or non verbal. Good or excellent communication skills are required if you want to become a dynamic public speaker. As part of being a good communicator I would also recommend you work on your voice and develop a dynamic range. A dynamic voice can be extremely enticing to listeners. In fact there is a whole art and skill to using your voice. Did you know that voices which draw out the vowels tend to lead to greater rapport with the audience, whilst ones that have a lot of consonant sounds break rapport? Rapport is crucial when presenting. So step one in becoming a dynamic public speaker is eliminate YOUR NERVES completely. All the skills in the world will not help you if you are nervous. Step two, work on your skills, such as body posture, story telling, language and communication skills and your quality of voice. Tania A Prince is a recognised Master and expert in Emotional Freedom Techniques. She is also an NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) Trainer and TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) Professional Trainer.
