It is someone who:
– stands by a friend when in need. – takes the time to listen. – He/She is willing to help. – you trust and respect.

A strong friendship can boost productivity and have a positive effect on company profitability. It can bring a feeling of reliability, self-stem, loyalty and share inside the workplace.

Slacking off: Friendships can cause employees to overlook or not report bad behavior. Boundary issues: Employees who become friends on the job may share too much personal information.

Supervisors also may see employees who are close friends as more prone to being gossipers. Friendships at work can be abusive and can cause a feeling of discomfort.

Psychologists says that they don't believe workplace friendships are real. Since true friendships can't exist when there are issues such as money and status at play.

Good friendships are important in many places and they should be implemented and preserved inside our department and company. But we should be always aware of the safety barriers and behavior when dealing with friends at work.
