SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization (SAP TAO): Automates the most time-consuming tasks related to ERP business process testing Building by Inspection of transactions from a SAP Server Executing Maintaining tests Breaks down the application into a series of components Consolidates components into testing phases Enabling maintenance of singular components upon changes Saves the time required to test business processes Improves the quality of tests and updates. www.assurity.co.nz
Slide 5: SAP TAO - Integrated Solution with SAP and HP Toolsets SAP TAO – Architecture? SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization requires the following components: • An ABAP-based component that resides on your SAP ERP server, called the SAP TAO Agent for ABAP. The agent accesses data from your SAP system and communicates with SAP TAO to allow you to create tests with that data. A Run-time library that provides special business process testing buttons for use with the HP QC. This library resides on a shared drive that all HP QC clients can access. The SAP TAO Client is the graphical user interface that performs three key functions: inspecting transactions from a SAP server, exporting the transactions to the HP QC, and consolidating components or scripts from the HP QC. UI Scanner is an optional add-in to the HP QTP. The UI scanner scans most of the data in a UI screen, including dynamically generated objects. It then imports the screen information to the HP QC, where it adds the data to a specified test script. • • • www.assurity.co.nz

It automates inspection and creation of components Inspect • Captures the data in a screen or transaction and determines its validity. It enables you to add, maintain, and delete a list of transactions and screens from this list Consolidate • Gathers all the objects and data in an HP QC test, and creates a single component Import/ Export • To transfer data from the SAP TAO client to HP QC Change Analyzer • Automatic identification of impacted components and test cases from a Business Process Change Analyzer result and their reparation Repository • Deals with User interactions and the sequence of screens in a business process Information specific to SAP TAO that cannot be retrieved by other tools www.assurity.co.nz
