Savvy riders understand how important it is to have a good pair of riding shorts and shimano shoes. Rookies often have to learn the hard way that it isn’t a good idea to skimp on such an important piece of gear.. But when the new bicyclists chafe their butts raw and have to walk around like a herniated orangutan for a fortnight, they learn. Or even better, when they shred their pants midway through a tour.
